"I did not think... well that is to say, I did not know--" Oh, pardon me, I thought you had died. There were so many things he could have said. Instead, he took a step back and bumped into his desk where something crashed onto the floor.
"Are you the Inquisition's new mage?" His voice cracked as he spoke.
