Coming upon Skyhold had been a boon, but there was still far too much work to be done. Even with the Inquisitor leading the helm there were roles for the rest of them to play in order to bring peace back to Thedas and save the world. Cullen did not know when it had become his duty to attend to the Inquisitor's new companions--but if someone had to do it, he supposed it could be him.
Though whether or not this new mage would enjoy speaking with an ex-Templar was another question he feared he would have the answer to soon enough.
When he heard the knock, he stood with a sigh and swept across the room. At the very least, it was a break from the thrice-damned paperwork strewn about his desk.
What he had not expected was the woman standing in front of him: just as short as he remembered, tattoos coating her in ways he had only seen in his nightmares since--
"A-ah, terribly sorry to gawk, but--" Cullen stumbled over himself in an attempt to move out of the way of the door, his head crashing into a nearby shelf with a loud thud. He swore, brought a hand to his face, and attempted to steady his breathing.
It's her. She's here. Who else could it be? It had to be a nightmare, then--a result of him attempting to quit the lyrium.
